Pucker up, buttercup! Smooch!
This simple lip balm recipe keeps your lips moisturized and glossy when you are feeling a little chapped. Add your fave essential oils to create the lip balm vibe of your choice. I mixed together peppermint and cinnamon!
Ingredients:
- 1/4 cup cocoa butter chunks
- 1 tbsp castor oil
- 1 tbsp coconut oil
- 1 tbsp beeswax (add more beeswax for a thicker balm)
- 2 ml essential oil such as peppermint, cinnamon, orange, tea tree, grapefruit, vanilla, spearmint, rosemary etc
- Small jars, tins or lip balm tubes
Directions:
- Place cocoa butter, beeswax and oils (not essential oils), in a small double boiler and heat until everything is dissolved.
- Remove from heat and whisk in essential oils.
- Transfer liquid quickly into a glass jar, tin or container of choice.
- Place in fridge to let set.
- Has a long shelf life.
*Note: if you want this thicker you can heat it again and add more beeswax a tsp at a time until you get the firmness you desire.
